Kuala Terengganu (The Star/ANN) - A 24-year-old man has turned himself in over a Facebook posting that insinuated that the Yang di-Pertuan Agong was involved in match fixing over the recent FA Cup final between Terengganu and Kelantan states in Malaysia.
The private college student from Kota Baru surrendered at the district police headquarters here at about 8pm on Monday.
Terengganu police chief Senior Asst Comm Jamshah Mustapa said police seized a laptop belonging to the suspect, who has been remanded until Friday. The police are looking for a woman to help with investigations.
On June 13, a Terengganu football fan club official lodged a police report that Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin's face was cropped and replaced with a football and dollar signs to suggest that the King was involved in an alleged fixing of the match which his home state eventually won.
